New Ductwork Dynamic Block

Working with Weird Angles

It all begins with an idea.

When working on a project with a building at several oblique angles, you can use the command for User Coordinate System, UCS. The sequence is as follows:

  1. Type the command, “UCS”, to orient your crosshairs

    1. Select two points along the angle you wish to work on

    2. Hit enter or space to confirm

  2. Type the command, “PLAN”, to change your view

    1. Choose “Current UCS” and the view will shift.

To go back to normal:

  1. Type the command, “UCS”

    1. Type “World” and hit enter

  2. Type the command, “PLAN”

    1. Select “World”
