New Ductwork Dynamic Block

I’ve made a new dynamic block that show streamline our ductwork design. The new version can rotate, stretch, add end fittings, and more. You can check it out by starting a new drawing from the imperial template. I’ll work on adding it to our tool pallet.

Working with Weird Angles

When working on a project with a building at several oblique angles, you can use the command for User Coordinate System, UCS. The sequence is as follows:

1. Type the command, “UCS”, to orient your crosshairs

   1. Select two points along the angle you wish to work on

   2. Hit enter or space to confirm

2. Type the command, “PLAN”, to change your view

   1. Choose “Current UCS” and the view will shift.

To go back to normal:

1. Type the command, “UCS”

   1. Type “World” and hit enter

2. Type the command, “PLAN”

   1. Select “World”
